The
guides here at Double Trouble are highly experienced with
years of fishing the Clarks Hill/Thurmond Lake waters. That
expertise is shared with our clients on every outing in the
pursuit of getting them on fish.
We realize that you can't fish with us every day so we will
share some of our tips and tricks here in the guidelog. We
may also throw in some other content, too - news, observations,
and, of course, the stories of the one that got away!
Jim and Brad Murphy both are published columnists so you
can count on well-written and clear information. Updates will
happen as time allows (we fish a lot, you know) and all articles
will be archived so you don't have to worry about missing
something good! |

Stripers are moving down river in the channels.
Because of low water, stripers are having to move out of the back of creeks and into the channels.
Our fish are coming on down lines in 26-38 feet of water. We are fishing 22 feet down. We were in the back of creeks pulling planer boards in 2 feet of water. The area that we were pulling is now dry land. We are staying in the channels. I plan to pull boards some this week. A man caught a 47 pounder on a board today. He was in the channel with down lines and let his boards go into the flats. Be careful tree tops are every where.
